Clifton Park NY - Lost Pet Service
The town of Clifton Park has launched a free program on the town website that residents can use to announce a lost pet.
To access the service, residents can visit cliftonpark.org and click on the “Lost a Pet? Report it Here” button on the right side of the screen. The site will ask for the resident’s name, address, e-mail address and phone number. This information will be used to notify the owner if their pet is located. No personal information will be shared with any third party.
Residents can upload an image of their pet and provide a description with name, animal type, gender, color, breed, collar color, date lost, age and any other unique characteristics.
“Losing a pet can be a difficult and stressful situation for families,” Councilwoman Lynda Walowit said. “We’re happy to use the power of technology on cliftonpark.org to help residents spread the word about a lost pet and are hopeful that this service will help reunite residents with their lost animals.”
Once the pet is reported lost, cliftonpark.org staff will verify the legitimacy of the entry and post it on the website. The notice will be posted in the top right corner of the cliftonpark.org homepage. Town security and animal control officials will also be notified of the lost pet.
The service was developed for free by the town’s webmaster, ICOM Tech Services of Clifton Park.

HI LEWIS! This is great! I see a lot of cardboard signs tacked to telephone poles as the means of communication for a lost pet. A site like this can only help! -- Gab
