I was handed a small stack of leads (about 12) from one of my colleagues SEVERAL months ago and they said "if you want these you can have them." My colleague tried them all once and then gave up. Now most of them have never returned my calls or emails. I continue to communicate to them about once a month. If they tell me to stop I will, but until then........................ Any way, one of the leads would occasionally respond to my calls or emails. I finally got him to commit to a time and day to go look at some Capital District listings!!! So to all you newbies out there, until the lead tells you to stop: NEVER GIVE UP!!!

Absolutely "Don't give up!" I sent automatic emails to a client for over 16 months and he's actively looking now and seems very serious about buying something soon.
Lewis, Great return on 12 leads. However, you could dial an additional 500 leads and not recieve anything. When using leads it is all luck. Calling that one lead at the time they want to talk to you.
I believe it was Winston Churchill who said "Never, never, never, never, never give up"! And he was right.
JIM - You are right, 16 months is nothing!!!
JIMMY - You are so right about the 500, but that is why you have to keep trying and not give up. The next call could be it!!!
RICHARD - was it 5 or 6 "nevers"?
It is all about persistance. I fill my pipeline up everyday. Some of these people will not be ready to buy for a year but so what in a year I will have a contract. I am working on present and future income.
