Clifton Park and Albany NY Homes for Sale: The perfect house??????

The perfect house??????

I was reading some blogs this morning about buyers and how they just keep looking.  This one he likes, she doesn't.  That one she likes, he doesn't.  The yard is too______.  The bathroom is too ______.  The kitchen is too _______.  It occurred to me that, personally, I am a very easy buyer.  My wife and I have moved across the country 5 times so the timing of my purchases was always very important.  What we learned is that there is no such thing as "the perfect house."  No matter where we have lived, there was always something we wished could have been different.  Now, we never regretted the decisions, just "wished."  This also got me thinking about people I have known that built their "dream home" so they could build exactly what they wanted and not have any regrets.  Well guess what; they too always said "I wished we would have ______________."  So, I hope this little blog helps you with those difficult buyers and gives you some ideas on how to address their tenuous search.  Good luck everybody!!!

You are so right!! I also know of several people who custom built their own home.  They also have said "They will never do that again."

That's great advice and counsel. My team always tells our buyers just that, "there is no such thing as a perfect house." We tell them that there are homes that may fit all their needs and some of their wants- and if they don't then you can always alter the home to make it "perfect" for you.

Best of luck to you and those picky buyers ;)

I do the same in saying there is no "perfect" home but some continue to look for it.  I think a better way to look for a home is to find one where they feel comfortable.  It's always a good sign when they go in and sit down.

There is no perfect house, but there are houses available that will best meet your needs.

Buying a home - like anything else in life - involved compromises.  What is perfect for you may not be perfect for me...

I've built my dream house 3 years ago.  Yes, there are changes we would like to make.  Next time...
